Artist:
Tang jie
Born in Hunan in 1989, graduated with a master's degree in sculpture from Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in 2016. Currently teaching at the Public Art Studio of the Sculpture Department of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts.
My personal research interests include installation art, dynamic sculpture, and public art. My works explore the relationships between people and things, people and society, and things and the world. Through the interaction between people and works, the interest brings viewers' associations and feels the poetic nature in objects. In 2019, the work was awarded the "Best Original Sculpture Award" by China Sculpture Magazine; Second Prize at the 2017 East Lake International Ecological Sculpture Biennale; In 2016, his work won the "Excellent Work Award" for Chinese Posture at the China Sculpture Exhibition; Received the Tomorrow Contemporary Sculpture Award in 2015; In 2014, he was awarded the "China Sculpture Art Award" at the China Statue China Sculpture Exhibition; In 2013, he was awarded the Zeng Zhushao Scholarship and the "Zeng Zhushao Award"
